Your Route
From the legendary hillside of Corton to the steep slopes of Gevrey-Chambertin, the itinerary covers the Route des Grands Crus of the Côte de Nuits in full:
▸ Corton & Ladoix — the legendary Corton hillside and its Grand Cru vineyards, the only red Grand Cru of the Côte de Beaune. At the foot of the hill, Ladoix-Serrigny and its remarkable whites — hidden gems that few visitors ever discover
▸ Nuits-Saint-Georges — the capital of the Côte de Nuits, its powerful and generous Premier Crus
▸ Vosne-Romanée — the most precious village in Burgundy, a stop in front of Romanée-Conti and Richebourg
▸ Vougeot — the Clos Vougeot and its medieval château, a mythical 50-hectare parcel at the heart of the Côte
▸ Chambolle-Musigny — the absolute elegance of Pinot Noir, Musigny and its aromatic intricacy
▸ Gevrey-Chambertin — the nine Grand Crus of Chambertin, Napoleon's favourite vineyard
The route follows your curiosity — no rigid schedule. Your guide stops where the story is worth telling.
The Two Tasting Experiences
First Estate — The Family Cellar
You step down into vaulted cellars at a human-scale estate. Rows of French oak barrels, cool stone walls, the scent of wine slowly aging. The winemaker opens their cellar and we explain their choices: manual harvesting, aging lengths, parcel-by-parcel decisions.
You taste 5–6 wines moving up Burgundy's hierarchy — from Village to Premier Cru. You ask your questions. You understand what terroir really does to wine — and why two plots 200 metres apart produce radically different results.
Second stop — The tasting cellar
A tasting of 5 wines from the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, from Village to Premier Cru level. A fascinating experience to understand the nuances of terroir within this appellation, world-renowned among lovers of great Burgundy Pinot Noir.
Your guide answers every question without jargon — with the passion of someone who genuinely lives for these wines.
